In addition to the monthly concerts, ART has hosted educational programming for neighborhood children since its inception. Arts Renaissance for Kids, or ARK, educational offerings have included The Cleveland Orchestra’s Musical Rainbow “On the Road,” series and the Akron Symphony Orchestras Young People’s Concerts, introducing children to the sights and sounds of a live symphony orchestra. Neighborhood Connections (Cleveland Foundation grant program) and Tremont Trek funds also make it possible for local conservatory students and professionals to share their musical knowledge and enthusiasm with children in programs presented at nearby schools, pre-schools, community centers and libraries.
