The Hope Trio, locally founded in 2011, derives its namesake from the Hope-Memorial Bridge, better known to Clevelanders as the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge. Its members seek to bridge the gap between classical music and those listeners unfamiliar to the art, by means of Classical Revolution Cleveland and other local performance opportunities. Recognizing the ongoing need to cultivate new audiences, the Hope Trio hopes their genuine love for what they do emanates and inspires others to support and grow in music.
Michelle Abraham, violin / Schuyler Slack, cello /
Shuai Wang, piano
The Julian Piano Trio was formed in the fall of 2011 for no other reason than its members just enjoy playing together. Michelle, Shuai and Schuyler are all recent graduates of the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) and are excited to share their love of the piano trio literature with listeners in the Cleveland area and beyond. Aside from their fondness of chamber music, the trio has bonded quickly over their mutual love of coffee and Quentin Tarantino movies – from one of which they derive their name. They are honored that you are part of their first public performance!
